Cendie Shelton, LMLP, LCAC (Pronouns; She/Her) - Cendie Shelton, LMLP (Pronouns; She/Her) - joined the staff at LCMHS in January of 2005 as a therapist, after completing an internship with the Center from August through December of 2004. She primarily works with adults and administers psychological testing for Labette Center. She is also a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Shelton received her associate's degree from NEO A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma in 2000, and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree from Pittsburg State University in 2002, and her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pittsburg State University in 2004. Prior to her internship with LCMHS, Shelton completed her practicum at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. While attending Pittsburg State University, Shelton was part of the PSU Adult Assessment Center, which was student training in administering psychological tests for SE Kansas SRS offices. She was also a member of the North American Association of Masters in Psychology, Psi Chi, Student Psychology Association, Phi Theta Kappa, and the PSU sexual assault response team. Shelton lives on a working farm, enjoys spending time with her family, as well as being entertained, flea markets and antique malls, anything in nature and planning future mischief.
