Mark Mikel, LSCSW, LCAC, KCGC - joined the staff at LCMHS in 1992 as a case manager, working primarily with children, and stayed in that position until 2009. At that time, Mikel accepted the position as an outpatient therapist and substance abuse counselor. After graduating from Parson's High School in 1987, Mikel served in the US Army Reserves and the Kansas National Guard as a medic and file clerk for 12 years. After attending Labette Community College, Mikel went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pittsburg State University in 1991 and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2009. An Oswego native, Mikel moved to Parsons at 16, and still calls the area home today with his wife, Emalee, and their daughter. When not working, Mikel spends his time with his family as well as with his hobbies - collecting Boston Celtic memorabilia and drawing.
