Dr. Jose Bogantes - Dr. Bogantes was born and raised in Costa Rica. He completed his medical school training at the University of Medical Sciences (UCIMED) in Costa Rica. Dr. Bogantes earned his specialty in General Psychiatry in 2012 and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2014, both at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. During his Fellowship he was also the Chief Resident during his second year. He is a very experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist, having received the Child and Adolescent Award from the North Carolina Council on Child Psychiatry in 2013. He worked for about four years for the state of North Carolina, functioning as a Medical Director of a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and has over four years of experience in outpatient behavioral health facilities. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
