Shereen Ellis, LSCSW, Director of Clinical and Emergency Services ? after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pittsburg State University, Ellis joined LCMHS as a Project Before Case Manager in 1996. In 1997, while still working full time at LCMHS, Ellis started working towards her Master in Social Work Degree at KU, which she received in 1999. After passing her Masters Licensure exam in 1999 she worked as a therapist at LCMHS.  In 2001, Ellis left LCMHS to work for Hynes Memorial Hospice. In January 2003, Ellis returned to LCMHS as a Crisis Therapist. She then received her LSCSW in 2006. In 2007, Ellis was promoted to Director of Clinical and Emergency Services, responsible for overseeing all outpatient services including medical, outpatient therapy, crisis, CBS and CSS Departments, as well as the Navigators Program. Calling Labette home since 1994, Ellis has six children and two grandchildren who have gone to school in Labette County and who all remain in the area. She is a graduate of the 2008-2009 Leadership Parsons Class and currently serves on the board for Labette County Assistance.
